Katherine is an associate at Friedman Schuman Layser, where she concentrates her practice on the areas of medical malpractice, personal injury, and commercial litigation. Prior to joining Friedman Schuman Layser, Katherine worked for a prominent law firm in Berks County, Pennsylvania, where she gained litigation experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of subject areas. Katherine also has experience handling business transactions, estate planning, property matters, and short/long-term disability work.
Katherine attended Penn State University, where she graduated with degrees in Political Science and Criminology, and a minor in Sociology, before receiving her law degree from University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. While in law school, Katherine was an associate editor on Maryland Law Review, worked part-time as a law clerk for a local personal injury law firm, and obtained a certificate in Healthcare law from Maryland’s nationally-ranked program. Katherine was also a member of the Student Health Law Organization, Women’s Bar Association, and Business Law Society.
